Prem A Grand Final #1
09/09/11

Hold on to your seats! A big 3-1 win over the Braves in game 1! I think we are all a bit in shock, especially given we were down 3 key players. It was a big defensive effort, topped off with a great 'forechecking goal' by Damian Bright, assisted by Jack Carpenter, a fabulous individual effort goal by Dave Harris, and an empty net goal by Todd Cutter. Great game boys

Prem A Semi Final
06/09/11

A big 6-1 victory over the Tigers (last year's Premiers) tonight, and a good spread of goals with singles going to Davey Harris, Kevin Dow, Stewie Higgins, Dean Dunstan, Brian Vellacott and Tom Voller. in the end we out shot them 37 to 14. Now on to the Preliminary Finals 8pm Thursday.

A tough final game for the regular season - a 3-0 loss to the Braves. The boys were in it (0-0 and even on shots) until the later half of the second period. But down 5 skaters from our regular contingent, and one defenceman playing with a separated shoulder, we just ran out of legs. Good effort though.

So the first playoff game is Tuesday, 6 Sept, 9:00 pm at the Docklands against the Tigers.

A nice 7-4 win over the Tigers on Friday. We slumped a bit in the second period to let them back in the game; but out shot them (10-5) and scored them (4-0) in the third to take the two points. Stu Higgins opened and closed the scoring for the team (the first and the last goals), with singles to Tom Voller, Andrew Erzen, Kevin Dow, Justin Monez and Chris Wong. We are sitting in third but a win on Friday would guarantee us second place, with a possibility of first depending on how the Hawks do next week.

Round 12
06/08/11

A tough 5-3 loss to the Braves. We were in the game until 5 minutes left in the third period when the Braves scored a very unusual goal. Let's just say that it is not a great idea for goalies to go into the corner and pass the puck across in front of their own empty net - right Mikey?

Prem A Rnd 11
16/07/11

A big 6-0 win over the undermanned Tigers. Two goals each to Justin Monez and Dean Dunstan, and singles to Stu Higgins and Andrew Erzen. Oh and a great shut out to Mikie James.

Ah it is so much nicer to win. The Prem A Demons defeated the 1st place Blackhawks 3-1 tonight. Two goals to Dean Dunstan and one to Andrew Erzen, with Stu Higgins picking up an assist in his first game back. Good work boys.

Round 9
04/07/11

Back to reality. After beating the Tigers 3-0 last week (no report as I was overseas); it was tough loss this week to the Braves 5-1. But our new draftees are fitting in well, so stay tuned.
