Junior 2026 Winter Season Expression of Interest

About Demons Junior Hockey
The Demons Junior community have a strong, supportive, inclusive and respectful culture. We pride ourselves not only on the growth and development of our players, but also on providing them with the right environment to develop confidence and thrive.
Please note that spots are limited and priority is given to returning Demons players.
Divisions
Demons have teams in all 4 junior divisions. Each division is listed below with basic information. For full staff allocated to each team, please view our Juniors teams page (opens in new tab).
Pre-season activities commence from January, training and game dates are TBC, but the expected start of season training is in late March 2026.
- 17U – players born in 2009 & 2010
Training is Thursdays 5pm OBI (Docklands), on-ice, and 6.30pm off-ice (gym & mobility).
Head coach: Rod Johns - 15U – players born in 2011 & 2012
Training: Thursdays 5pm OBI (Docklands)
Head coach: Adrian MacMillan - 13U – players born in 2013 & 2014
Training: Mondays 7:30pm OBI (Docklands) *tbc
Head coach: Shae Ganac - 11U – players born in 2015 and younger
Training: Mondays 7:30pm OBI (Docklands) *tbc

With thanks to the Melbourne Mustangs, we will be bringing a comprehensive program for our 17U team that will filter through to 11U.
Goalie Coaching!
In the 2026 Season we will have Bryan Mackenzie (Melbourne Mustangs) available to coach goalies weekly at OBI on Thursdays 5pm. All Demons goalies and prospective goalies in our club are welcome to attend.

11U/13U

15U/17U

Fees
Fees in 2025 were $830 per participant as a result of significant fundraising. This did not include all the pre-season activities (try outs, scrimmage, skate skills etc). We are making every effort to keep fees around $1000 for 2026.
2026 fees will cover:
- All pre-season activities listed above (training sessions, scrimmage, Checking Clinics x 3 for 15U/17U)
- Subsidised entry fees to the Next Gen Tournament at Ice HQ 11-14 April 2026 for 11U, 13U, 15U.
- All costs associated with Off Ice for 17U. Alternating fortnightly gym sessions with Scott Timmins and mobility sessions with Lyndsey Buchanan.
Please note that fees are dependent on the number of games scheduled by IHV and ice-time fees. We are doing our best to keep fees as low as possible and will continue to communicate with you should updates occur.
