A very heartfelt and big congratulations to Andy O’Connor for earning the Paul Raphael Shield.Being a team player goes beyond what you do on the ice, but it is also measured by the selfless act and generosity for what you do for everyone around you both in life and sport (and not expect anything back in return) and Andy has lived up to this without any hesitation. Well this is exciting! For 2023 Senior Winter Competition we will have: Premier-A, Senior-B, Senior-C, Senior-D & Women’s. The Women’s Competition has been running as an in-house league for quite a few years, and it’s time to get them under the club structure. Thank you very much to all the Senior Clubs for supporting this change to encourage inclusivity within our already strong Club structure. Player allocations are underway to the teams, and if you filled in the EOI, you will hear from us soon with the next steps. Best of luck for the 2023 season! See MoreSee Less

Late on Thursday the 29th of December 2022 – It was with a heavy heart to learn the news and passing of our fellow Demon and former Demons IHC Vice President π‰πšπ¦πžπ¬ β€œπ‰π’π¦π¦π²β€ π–π‘π²ππž.I know that by now you are all aware of this sad news. Our Demons Family is devastated by this loss. Jimmy, his wife Amanda and two daughters (Annika and Emilija) were living overseas on their two year adventure – when we saw the shocking news on Jimmy’s Facebook page.He was taken from us far too soon. The high cost of a funeral service, memorial, his family flying all the way from Riga, Latvia unexpectedly back to Australia for all of the above and then fly back to Latvia with the continued cost of living overseas in a foreign country – with only one income… is something the Whyte’s were not prepared for. You see, they had rented out their Melbourne home and had committed to stay in Europe and then return to Australia in 2024. What makes it more difficult for Amanda – is how do you juggle a brand new job as a flight attendant (a requirement to fly to other places for work – without children in tow), as a sole parent of two young girls in a foreign country. We want to honour Jim’s memory by kindly asking for donations (big or small) to help cover costs and any remaining funds will go towards helping and supporting his family, his girls. We will never forget Jimmy and the impact he had on our Club and to those around him. This a great way for the BIG RED MACHINE and others to pay tribute to his memory.Words can not describe how his passing has suddenly affected all of us, especially his two young daughters (Annika and Emilija). So rather than sending flowers – We are asking that you donate in lieu of flowers. Please see where to donate below – we decided to do it this way rather than Go Fund Me so that 100% of the portion of the donation will go directly to Jimmy’s family -:π‘©π’‚π’π’Œ π’…π’†π’•π’‚π’Šπ’π’” 𝒇𝒐𝒓 π‘¨π’–π’”π’•π’“π’‚π’π’Šπ’‚π’ π’…π’π’π’‚π’•π’Šπ’π’π’” 𝒂𝒓𝒆:π€π¦πšπ§ππš 𝐇𝐒𝐫𝐬𝐭 – π–π‘π²ππžππ’π: πŸŽπŸ–πŸ‘-πŸŽπŸ”πŸ’π€π‚π‚: πŸπŸ’-πŸ–πŸπŸ•-πŸŽπŸ“πŸ”πŸ–International money transfer details for anyone who wants to donate who are currently outside of Australia:Bank: National Australia BankBIC/SWIFT code: NATAAU3303MBSB: 083-064 ACC: 14-827-0568Account name: Amanda Hirst – WhyteAddress: (Please PM Amanda)𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐄 π‰π€πŒπ„π’ "π‰πˆπŒπŒπ˜" π–π‡π˜π“π„#Donationsinlieuofflowers #OneHeart #DemonsFamily See MoreSee Less
